Terms of Use / End User License Agreement

Last updated: 10 June 2026

These Terms of Use and End User License Agreement (“Terms”) govern your use of Desktop Call Recorder, including the website, downloadable software, free version, Pro subscription, activation codes, updates, and related services.

Desktop Call Recorder is provided by Domit LTD (“we”, “us”, “our”). By downloading, installing, activating, or using Desktop Call Recorder, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the software.

1. Product

Desktop Call Recorder is Windows desktop software designed to record audio calls and audio sessions from supported desktop applications and manual recording scenarios. Actual compatibility may depend on your Windows version, audio devices, application version, drivers, permissions, and system configuration.

2. Free version

We may provide a free version of Desktop Call Recorder. The free version is fully functional and may be used to test whether the software works for your recording scenarios. The free version may include fair usage restrictions, such as limits on the number of recordings in a period.

3. Pro subscription and activation codes

A Pro subscription provides activation code(s) for the number of computers purchased and access to Pro features during the active subscription period.

Activation codes are delivered after successful payment and may also be available in the customer area on our website. Each activation code may be linked to a computer, operating system, hardware signature, or similar technical identifier. If Windows is reinstalled, hardware is changed, or the computer is replaced, activation may need to be reset by support.

Activation codes are subscription access credentials. They may not be shared, resold, published, rented, sublicensed, or used beyond the number of computers purchased.

4. License

Desktop Call Recorder is licensed, not sold. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the software according to these Terms and the subscription you purchased.

Unless otherwise stated, one computer license allows activation on one computer at a time.

5. User responsibility for recordings

You are responsible for how you use Desktop Call Recorder. Laws about call recording, consent, employee monitoring, privacy, and data protection vary by country and region. You must make sure that your use of the software complies with all laws, regulations, contracts, workplace policies, and consent requirements that apply to you.

We are not responsible for your decision to record, store, share, or use any recording.

6. Restrictions

You must not:

  • reverse engineer, decompile, modify, or attempt to bypass the software’s licensing or activation systems;
  • use activation codes beyond the purchased license quantity;
  • sell, rent, sublicense, or distribute activation codes without our written permission;
  • use the software for unlawful recording, surveillance, harassment, fraud, or violation of privacy rights;
  • interfere with the normal operation of the software, website, licensing system, or payment process.

7. Payments, taxes, and Paddle

Depending on the checkout and payment method used, your payment may be processed by Paddle, which in that case acts as Merchant of Record for the purchase. Where Paddle is used, it may handle payment processing, tax calculation, tax collection, invoices, receipts, subscription billing, and certain payment-related customer support.

If your purchase is processed by Paddle, your payment may appear on your bank or card statement as Paddle or a Paddle-related descriptor.

8. Subscription term, renewal, and cancellation

Your subscription starts from the date of purchase unless stated otherwise at checkout. Subscription length, renewal terms, price, and cancellation options are shown at checkout or in the customer area.

If automatic renewal is enabled for your subscription, you may cancel future renewal using the subscription management link provided after purchase or by contacting support. Cancelling renewal does not normally refund previous payments unless stated in our Refund Policy or required by law.

9. Refunds

Refunds are handled according to our Refund Policy and applicable consumer protection law. Where a purchase is processed through Paddle, the Paddle checkout and refund terms also apply. Please see our Refund Policy for details.

10. Updates and availability

We may release updates, fixes, improvements, or changes to Desktop Call Recorder. Some features may change over time due to operating system changes, third-party application changes, security requirements, or technical limitations.

We do not guarantee that the software will work with every application, device, driver, headset, browser, account type, or future version of Windows or third-party software.

11. Support

Support is provided through the contact details listed on our website. We may ask for technical information such as app version, Windows version, logs, audio device information, activation code, or error details to investigate issues.

12. Intellectual property

Desktop Call Recorder, including the software, website, design, code, trademarks, text, and related materials, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. No rights are granted except those expressly stated in these Terms.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your license or access if you violate these Terms, misuse activation codes, attempt to bypass licensing, abuse support, or use the software unlawfully.

After termination, you must stop using the Pro features and delete any unauthorized copies of the software.

14. Disclaimer

Desktop Call Recorder is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted operation, and error-free performance.

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

15. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or business losses, including loss of profit, loss of data, loss of recordings, loss of business, or loss arising from inability to record a call.

Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for Desktop Call Recorder during the subscription period giving rise to the claim, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on our website with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of the software after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

17. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country require otherwise.
